Vasaloppet started off the Visma Nordic Trophy competition beginning of March. Visma Nordic Trophy combines the Scandinavian part of the Pro Tour, awarding the best male and female skier overall performance in the Scandinavian events. Due to the current restrictions in Norway and Finland, the elite races of both Birkebeinerrennet and Ylläs-Levi have been replaced with the new Vålådalsrennet and Tåssåsen Criterium 64 powered by Visma, both taking place in Vålådalen Sweden.

The two events will take place back to back this upcoming weekend- writing its own history in Visma Ski Classics, being the first events two days in a row. First out is 54 km Vålådalsrennet on March 20th followed by 64 km Tåssåsen Criterium 64 powered by Visma, March 21st. Visma Ski Classics final event of season XI and the last event of Visma Nordic Trophy is the 100 km Årefjällsloppet, another record within the Visma Ski Classics Pro Tour, being the longest event ever, taking place March 27th.

Visma Nordic Trophy is awarding EUR 7500 each to the winners. The competition is implemented into the Pro Tour in collaboration with Visma.

With their victories in Vasaloppet, Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel of Norway, and Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, got off to a perfect start of Visma Nordic Trophy. The victories at Vasaloppet gave Gjerdalen and Korsgren 300 points each because it is a Grand Classics Event. In the remaining events, 200 points will be awarded to the winners.
