Celebrating the 37th edition this winter, Tjejvasan is considered the World’s biggest ski race only for women. The 30km race starts in Oxberg and finishes in Mora – the same historical finish as Vasaloppet.

Tjejvasan is part of Vasaloppet’s Winter 2025, which offers several competitions, including Vasaloppet, part of the Ski Classics Pro Tour, and Tjejvasan, part of the Ski Classics Challengers series.

According to the Organizing Committee press release, “this year’s race, the 37th edition, has so far attracted over 6.500 participants. Anyone keen to ski thirty fantastic kilometers can still register, with registration open until race day,” and added:

“This year, 44% of registered participants are taking part in Tjejvasan for the first time, while 56% have raced before. Since Tjejvasan’s inception in 1988, a total of 202.742 finishers have been recorded!”

TRACK RECORD

The course record is 1:15.39 and belongs to Britta Johansson Norgren, who achieved the feat in 2022. The second-fastest race was in 2024, when Kati Roivas, Team Eksjöhus, finished in 1:16:14, just 35 seconds from the record.
