Tanumsloppet 2025

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Tanumsloppet, took place on Saturday, August 16, with a 40km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique in Tanumshede, Sweden. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event, Tanumsloppet, saw Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team/IK Stern, and Thomas Gifstad, Rustad IL, win their respective races.

Tanumsloppet – Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team/IK Stern, was the winner with a total time of 1:41:25.0. 

Hilda Löf, Ski Team Göhlins/XC Sthlm Ski Club, finished in second place, 5:07.0 back, followed by Linn Sömskar, IFK Umeå SK, 5:07.1 behind the winner, and completing the podium in the third position. 

Tanumsloppet – Top 3 Women

  1. Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team/IK Stern, 1:41.25
  2. Hilda Löf, Ski Team Göhlins/XC Sthlm Ski Club, +5:07.0
  3. Linn Sömskar, IFK Umeå SK, +5:07.1

Tanumsloppet – Men’s Race

In the men’s race, Thomas Gifstad of Rustad IL won, completing the race in 1:30:33.0.

Gabriel Strid, Team GS8, finished in second place, 0.1 seconds back, followed by Alfted Buskqvist, Team Ramudden/IK Stern, completing the podium in the third position and 2.0 seconds behind the winner.

  1. Thomas Gifstad, Rustad IL, 1:30:33.0
  2. Gabriel Strid, Team GS8, +0.1
  3. Alfred Buskqvist, Team Ramudden/IK Stern, +2.0

As Tanumsloppet is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders. 

The full results of Tanumsloppet can be found here, and a list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for the 2025/2026 season can be found on Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.
