This French Pro Team has been around for some years, making the world of Ski Classics popular among many people in France. After securing the 11th place in the Pro Team ranking during Season XIV, a younger squad is now preparing for its fifth season on the Ski Classics circuit.

Team Nordic Expérience has seven Pro Team athletes, three women and four men, ready to fight for points this winter. For Season XV, the squad counts on its youth squad roster of six athletes from France and one from Estonia: Merilin Jürisaar (2000), Léonie Harivel (2000), Laurie Flochon-Joly (1997), Bastien Laurent (2002), Brice Milici (2000), Jeremy Royer (1999), and Mattis Basille (2001).

TEAM NORDIC EXPÉRIENCE

The French Pro Team has allowed athletes like Roxane Lacroix, Alexis Jeannerod, and more recently, Thomas Joly to progress and fully showcase their skill at a high level in Ski Classics! For Season XV, a younger team is taking the stage, and they all have the drive and determination to excel.

“In total, the team has four top 10 finishes in Ski Classics and 21 podiums in other competitions (in France and abroad) for the Season 2022/2023. Since its creation in 2018, we have a total of 12 top 10 and 3 top 5 finishes in the Ski Classics circuit,” says Pro Team Director Maxime Grenard and adds about his team’s goals for the upcoming winter:

“Our goals are to perform well for our leaders and to gain experience and benchmarks for the younger skiers. We have Jeremy and Laurie, who have a bit more experience and can go and achieve great things. The others will also aim to progress from race to race.”

Grenard also highlighted the strengths that will help the French Pro Team succeed in the Ski Classics Season XV:

“Our strength is our density; we have athletes like Jeremy Royer who can play up front in many races. Our team is young and in development, so we also have a lot of potential to progress quickly over the season and the years,” says the Pro Team Director and elaborates:

“Our team is more than a team; it’s a family. We’re very cohesive and invested in the good functioning of the team. And we have to deal with reduced financial and human resources compared with our competitors, which adds challenge and extra motivation.”
