This Pro Team has been the most successful Finnish squad in Ski Classics in the past two years. After securing the 15th position in the Pro Team ranking during Season XIV, Team Edux looks forward to the upcoming winter season.

For the Ski Classics Season XV, Team Edux is bringing six Pro Team athletes, four men and two women: Joonas Sarkkinen (1994), Isac Holmström (1995), Olli Tyrväinen (1993), Markku Kouva (1974), Sofia Lindberg (1992), and Anni Kainulainen (1992).

Pro Team Director Olli Tyrväinen describes Team Edux’s characteristics: “In the past two consecutive years, Team Edux has been the most successful Pro Team from Finland in the Pro Team competition. This year, our team consists of skiers all around Finland, with the addition of one skier from Sweden,” and adds:

“Our squad represents a balanced mix of experienced long-distance skiers and skiers transitioning from shorter distances to the Ski Classics world,” says Tyrväinen and elaborates on their goals for Ski Classics Season XV:

“Our primary objective is to create optimal circumstances where our skiers can perform on the highest level. This season, we especially focus on the most prestigious races, such as Vasaloppet and Marcialonga, where we hope our skiers will perform well.”

“Also, we have recruited two new skiers that have mainly been focusing on shorter distances. As seen previously, long-distance skiing offers much for athletes competing on shorter distances. Ski Classics athletes have shown what they can do in World Cup distances with high double poling capacity.”

The Pro Team Director is clear about his Pro Team’s strengths: “We have invested in hard training camps, where athletes can train together. This helps athletes to develop as skiers but also increases team spirit, which has always been a strength for our team. And, as previously, our team service remains at a world-class level.”

Team Edux has great potential and will fight tooth and nail for the title of the best Finnish Pro Team in the upcoming season again.
