This Norwegian Pro Team brings together skiers from Norway, Sweden, and the USA. Team Aker Dæhlie secured fifth place in the Pro Team ranking during Season XVI and now looks ahead to the upcoming winter with confidence and ambition.

Team Aker Dæhlie lines up nine Pro Team athletes — three women and six men — ready to fight for points, podiums, bib competitions, and a spot among the very best Pro Teams overall in Ski Classics Season XVII.

For the new Pro Tour season, the roster features seven Norwegian athletes, one Swede, and one American: Silje Øyre Slind (1988), Anne Kjersti Kalvå (1992), Sophia Laukli (2000), Max Novak (1996), Petter Stakston (1997), Amund Riege (2000), Kasper Stadaas (1994), Mathias Aas Rolid (1996), and Gaute Kvåle (1995).

This is a powerful and versatile team, and many Ski Classics followers expected them to be even higher in the rankings last winter — a result that could easily come true this season, as the squad has the potential to win and secure multiple podium finishes.

Silje Øyre Slind delivered an outstanding season, claiming her first Pro Tour victory at Engadin La Diagonela and four more podiums — 3 Zinnen Ski-Marathon (3rd), Marcialonga (2nd), Vasaloppet (3rd), and Reistadløpet (3rd). In fact, she finished every Pro Tour race she started within the top six last winter.

Two highly experienced athletes join Team Aker Dæhlie’s long-distance squad this season: Anne Kjersti Kalvå from Norway and Sophia Laukli from the USA. Both bring strong World Cup backgrounds and proven endurance to the long-distance scene, adding valuable depth and international flair to the team’s lineup.

On the men’s side, the roster is equally impressive. Max Novak, a proven Pro Tour winner, possesses the stamina and technical ability to fight for victories again, having won the Grönklitt Criterium last season and reached the podium at La Venosta ITT (2nd), Marcialonga (2nd), and Vasaloppet (3rd).

Petter Stakston is another podium contender, coming off a consistent season with fourth-place finishes at the Bad Gastein ITT and Engadin La Diagonela, sixth at Vasaloppet, and eighth at Jizerská50. With more stability, he could secure a regular top-tier position this winter.

Four male athletes are new to Team Aker Dæhlie’s lineup but bring solid experience and proven results.

Amund Riege had a solid season, winning both the Bad Gastein Criterium and Engadin La Diagonela, placing third at the Bad Gastein ITT, and finishing seventh at Marcialonga Bodø. Once again, he will be a strong contender for the Youth bib overall.

Kasper Stadaas remains one of the fastest athletes and all-around performers on the circuit. Last winter, he won the 3 Zinnen Ski-Marathon and placed inside the top 14 in five more Pro Tour races — results that confirm his consistency and winning potential.

Mathias Aas Rolid is another substantial addition, demonstrating great endurance and stability last season, with top results including an eighth-place finish at Bad Gastein ITT, a sixth-place finish at the 3 Zinnen Ski-Marathon, a fourth-place finish at Marcialonga, and a 16th-place finish at Vasaloppet.

Gaute Kvåle, who finished 42nd at Birkebeinerrennet last winter, has already shown promising form this summer by placing 25th at Klarälvsloppet, a well-known Ski Classics Challengers roller ski event in Sweden.

With this balanced and ambitious roster, Team Aker Dæhlie will be one of the key teams to watch when the Ski Classics Season XVII begins in December.

“Team Aker Dæhlie is the first private team competing at the highest level, including athletes from Ski Classics, FIS/all-around, Paralympic XC-skiing, and younger age groups,” says Pro Team Director Chris Jespersen.
