The first stage of the 160km Ski Classics Challengers event Arctic Circle Race took place this Friday with a 52km long-distance race in classic technique in Sisimiut, Greenland. Get to know the first-day winners.

After a full day of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event Arctic Circle Race saw Ukaleq Slettemark and Martin Möller winning their respective stage 1 races.

Arctic Circle Race – Day 1 – Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, the winner was Ukaleq Slettemark with a total time of 4:43:17.0. 

Mathilde Le Moullec finished in second place, with a time of 1.0 seconds behind the winner, followed by Christina Natalie Kompf, 1:28.0 back, and completing the podium in the third position.

Arctic Circle Race – Day 1 – Men’s Race

In the men’s race, the winner of day 1 was Martin Møller, completing the race in a time of 3:20:21.0.

Anders Brink Nyberg finished in second place, 14:36.0 behind the winner, followed by Bjarne Herbert Hansen, who completed the podium in third place, 16:41.0 back.
