Registrations for Skinnarloppet 2027, part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit, will open on Sunday, June 21.

The 95th edition of the classic long-distance ski race is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, 2027, in Malung, Sweden. Held two weeks before Vasaloppet and featuring a similar elevation profile, the 45km race has long served as a popular tune-up for Sweden’s most iconic long-distance event. Several elite skiers have used it as a form test ahead of Vasaloppet, and the course profile makes it a natural fit for that purpose.

With a history dating back to 1924, Skinnarloppet is one of the oldest ski marathons in Sweden and globally. Peak editions have attracted more than 1,500 participants, with the field open to both elite and recreational skiers. Youth, night, and shorter events will also be available for registration.
