Ski or Die: This Pro Team gets to start the Ski Classics documentary series

Pro Team
On Friday, November 17, at 12:00 CET, the first episode of the documentary series Ski Classics Ski or Die will be released. The Pro Team, Team Ragde Charge, starts the exclusive three-episode documentary series featuring three Ski Classics Pro Teams preparations ahead of the new season.

Team Ragde Charge, owned by the Aukland brothers, Jørgen and Anders, is the longest-existing Pro Team and has been in the game since the inception of Ski Classics. According to Ski Classics’ Pro Team ranking, Team Ragde Charge is the fifth-best Pro Team.

The documentary Ski Classics Ski or Die shows the Pro Team from behind the scenes and gives an insight into how the eight athletes work hard to reach the top of the world in Ski Classics. You get to go behind the scenes and see the raw power of the athletes, the countless hours of training, the team spirit in Team Ragde Charge, and the motivation that drives the long-distance skiers forward.

Anders Aukland, who retired in spring 2023, was a member of Team Ragde Charge before that. Anders has played a major role in shaping long-distance skiing history with his brother Jørgen Aukland, the Pro Team Director. They have both competed at the top of some of the most prestigious long-distance skiing races, such as Marcialonga and Vasaloppet.

Top athletes may seem like automated people, but the athletes in Team Ragde Charge prove this wrong. These athletes have strong emotions, a love for the sport, a passion for success, and some frustration when things don’t go their way. In Ski or Die, you can feel the nerves and excitement ahead of the upcoming winter season.

This year, Team Ragde Charge consists of eight athletes: one Swede and seven Norwegians. With several stars, including Andreas Nygaard, the Pro Team is considered one of Ski Classics’ strongest men’s teams.

We find Jenny Larsson and Anikken Gjerde Alnæs on the women’s side. Last year, Gjerde Alnæs took the Green Sprint bib, a goal she has had for a long time. Earlier this fall, Larsson was scheduled to run a SkiErg double poling test session of 5000m, impressed tremendously, and set a new world record: 18:36.2.
