“We’re not done yet”

Emil Persson is one of the Legends in Ski Classics history, having 19 individual victories so far. With this contract extension, he will enter his eighth season with the Lager 157 Ski Team.

“I’ve found my team. We’re not done yet; we’re going to keep pushing for a while,” says Emil in a social media post.

Lager 157 Ski Team’s Sports Director, Anton Järnberg, is pleased with the extension.

“Having Emil stay on the team is incredibly important for us. He is not only one of the best in the world — he’s also a leader and role model for the entire team.”

Still, according to the post, “With this new agreement, Lager 157 Ski Team consolidates its position for the upcoming seasons and continues the venture at the top of the long-distance skiing world. Among other achievements, the team has secured three straight victories in the Vasaloppet.”
