Raimo Vīgants And Anda Muižniece Winners of Latloppet Madona 2023

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Latloppet Madona, took place this Sunday with a 36km long-distance race in classic technique in Madona, Latvia.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event Latloppet Madona saw Raimo Vīgants, Madona, and Anda Muižniece, Aizkraukle, winning their respective races.

Latloppet Madona – Men’s Race – Ski Classics Challengers

In the men’s race, the winner Raimo Vīgants, Madona, completed the race in a time of 1:59:00.8.

Audris Odo Vītolinš, Ogre OK/SC, finished in second place, with a total time of 2:02:00.1, followed by Jānis Melbārdis, Zelta Krogs, completing the podium in the third position and a total time of 2:03:29.2.

  1. Raimo Vīgants, Madona, 1:59:00.8
  2. Audris Odo Vītolinš, Ogre OK/SC, +2:59.3
  3. Jānis Melbārdis, Zelta Krogs, +4:28.4

Latloppet Madona – Women’s Race – Ski Classics Challengers

In the women’s competition, the winner was Anda Muižniece, Aizkraukle, with a total time of 2:36:15.3. 

Merle Lilleoru, Tallinn, finished in second place, with a time of 2:36:33.2, followed by Ivita Šale, SSK Bebra/Skrīveri, with a total time of 3:10:30.9, and completing the podium in the third position.

  1. Anda Muižniece, Aizkraukle, 2:36:15.3
  2. Merle Lilleoru, Tallinn, +17.9
  3. Ivita Šale, SSK Bebra/Skrīveri. +34:15.6

As Latloppet Madona is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
