The Ski Classics Challengers event Vaajmarathon starts in one month. The 42km classic roller ski race will take place on August 12, 2023, in Norway-Sweden.

The Ski Classics Challengers event Vaajmarathon starts in one month. The 42km classic roller ski race will take place on August 12, 2023, in Norway-Sweden.

Vaajmarathon is a unique roller ski race crossing the Norwegian-Swedish border. This Summer, the event starts in Norway and finishes in Sweden. 

Celebrating five years in 2023, Vaajmarathon takes place in the beautiful area of Hotagen, only 100km from Ă–stersund. This year the race starts in Mebygda, Norway, and the organizers invite both professional and recreational skiers to a roller ski event crossing the Norwegian-Swedish border to finish in Rötviken, Sweden. 

According to the Local Organizing Committee, Vaajmarathon is Sweden’s most beautiful roller ski race. It inspires an active life and shows the possibility of roller skiing in a unique environment with a course close to the mountains and beautiful scenery.

Vaajmarathon is part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit and a seeding race to Vasaloppet.

As Vaajmarathon is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender. 

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for season 2023/2024 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour, or Challengers events, professional and recreational skiers, can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when subscribing to Ski Classics online community proxcskiing.com. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, and analyze your results with friends in the SC ranking system. In your profile, you collect points according to your performance and are rewarded with pins and diplomas.

One of the central features of MyPages is that you get your global SC ranking. The SC Ranking is a live updated international ranking, unique in combining women and men, professional and recreational skiers in one single list.
