The Ski Classics Challengers event, Ganghoferlauf Classic, took place this Saturday with a shortened 36km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Seefeld, Austria. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Ganghoferlauf Classic, took place this Saturday with a shortened 36km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Seefeld, Austria. Check out the results.

After a day of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Austria, Ganghoferlauf Classic, saw a solid fight for the podium places. Jakob Milz, Terrex XC Ski Team, and Juliane Frühwirt, Zoll Ski Team, won their respective races with solid performances.

Ganghoferlauf Classic – 36km Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Jakob Milz, Terrex XC Ski Team, with a total time of 1:38:44.0.

Manuel Amhof, Team Futura Alta Quota, finished in second place, 3.2 seconds back, followed by Petter Engdahl, Terrex XC Ski Team, 37.0 seconds behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Jakob Milz, Terrex XC Ski Team, 1:38:44.0

  4. Johannes Kuchl, Vltava Fund Ski Team, +4:21.5

Ganghoferlauf Classic – 36km Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Juliane Frühwirt, Zoll Ski Team, completed the race in a time of 2:04:09.8 in a solid solo performance.

Laura Groiss, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, finished in second place, 18:51.5 behind, followed by Federica Simeoni, Sci CAI Conegliano, completing the podium in third position and 23:41.1 back.

Tomorrow, Saturday, March 2, is time for Ganghoferlauf Skating. Due to difficult snow conditions, the freestyle event was also relocated from Leutasch to Seefeld and shortened to 36km.
