The Ski Classics Challengers event, Alliansloppet—a 48km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique—took place this Saturday in Trollhättan, Sweden. Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, delivered a commanding performance to claim victory in the women’s race. 

Many Ski Classics Pro Team athletes and World Cup skiers matched their skills in a 48km long-distance race today in Trollhättan, Sweden. After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event, Alliansloppet, saw Magni Smedås of Team Eksjöhus win the race with a commanding performance.

Alliansloppet – Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, a small leading group of favorites formed as the race progressed, and by the final lap, only seven contenders remained in the fight for victory.  

In the end, Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, was the fastest and won the race with a time of 2:04:22.1.

Hanna Lodin, Team Engcon, secured second place, just 0.2 seconds back, with Jenny Larsson, Lager 157 Ski Team, only 0.3 seconds behind and completing the podium.

Alliansloppet – Ski Classics Challengers

Alliansloppet is the world’s largest roller ski event, attracting around 1,300 participants each year. Held in Trollhättan, a Swedish city renowned for its dramatic waterfalls, the event covers a legendary 16km loop completed three times through scenic landscapes.

The event is part of a multi-day sports festival and also serves as one of the stages of the 2025 Roller Ski World Cup.

As the Alliansloppet 48km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
