Team Ramudden takes a double victory at the new French long-distance roller ski event Hautdoubsloppet.

Team Ramudden claimed a clean sweep at the inaugural Hautdoubsloppet on Sunday, July 27, as Thomas Joly and Emilie Fleten secured commanding victories in the 42km classic technique roller ski race in France.

Just a week ahead of the Blink Festival, Emilie Fleten delivered a dominant performance, dropping the field early and extending her lead throughout the race. The Ski Classics Legend and Pro Team star crossed the finish line over three minutes ahead of her closest rivals from the French national team.

In the men’s race, Thomas Joly, Fleten’s French teammate on Team Ramudden, celebrated a home victory with a powerful solo effort. Joly, who was also the main organizer of the new event, won in 1:37:15, more than 30 seconds ahead of Simon Vuillet.

“It was an incredible day. We hosted one of the biggest roller ski races ever held in France. And we had a fantastic lead-up to the race with the Tour de France finish here the evening before,” Joly told Langrenn.com and added:

“That both Emilie and I won, and that we secured a double victory, was, of course, great for the team. But it feels extra special to win my own race. That’s a bonus for everyone who helped me make it happen.”

The race drew a strong international field, including Vasaloppet winners, World Cup skiers, and top French athletes from both traditional cross-country and long-distance skiing. Held in Oye-et-Pallet, the event was a spectacular debut on the French roller ski scene.
