After a fast race from the start and a morning full of action, the 30-kilometer-long Ski Classics Challengers event in Sweden saw Jenny Larsson, Lager 157 Ski Team, winning Tjejvasan with outstanding performance and a sprint finish.

TJEJVASAN

Tjejvasan, the World’s largest long-distance race for women, took place today in Sweden, starting in Oxberg and finishing in Mora.

Soon after a fast start, a group of 12 skiers were formed. A few kilometers into the race, the front group was already only six skiers, with all the favorites still strong.

At Hökberg, 11km into the race, six skiers crossed first within 4.2 seconds: Jenny Larsson, Hanna Lodin, Emilie Fleten, Louise Lindström, Julie Kvale Støstad, and Kati Roivas.

At the Eldris checkpoint, with 9km to go, the leading group was working powerfully in front, with a group of three chasers – Ivarsson, Erkers, and Stolpe – already 2:24 behind the leaders.

At the end of today’s Tjejvasan, after a fierce battle in the leading group and a solid sprint, the winner was Jenny Larsson, Lager 157 Ski Team, with a total time of 1:17:35.8.

Louise Lindström, Team Eksjöhus, finished in second place, 0.9 seconds behind the winner, followed by Julie Kvale Støstad, Team Ramudden, 1.0 seconds back, and completing the podium in the third position.
