Gjerde Alnæs and Kardin winners of Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic 2025
The Ski Classics Challengers event, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic, took place this Saturday with a 40km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Vernon, Canada. Check out the results.
After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Canada, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic, saw Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, and Oskar Kardin, Lager 157 Ski Team, winning their respective races with solid performances.
Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic – Women’s Race
In the women’s event, the winner, Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Engcon, completed the race in a time of 2:06:18.9.
Katherine Stewart-Jones, Nakkertok Nordique (QC), finished in second place, 6:18.5 behind, followed by Katie Weaver, Hollyburn Ski Club, completing the podium in third position and 9:03.2 back.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Classic – Men’s Race
In the men’s competition, the winner was Oskar Kardin, Lager 157 Ski Team, with a total time of 1:53:38.1.
Scott Hill, Team Hardwood, finished in second place, 1:29.5 back, followed by Tom Stephen, Foothills Nordic, 1:48.1 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.
