Ģērmanis and Zālite winners at Latloppet Madona 2026
The Ski Classics Challengers event, Latloppet Madona, took place this Sunday with a 32km long-distance race in classic technique in Madona, Latvia.
After a day full of action at one of the Ski Classics Challengers events in Latvia, Latloppet Madona, Juris Ģērmanis, MySport, and Elita Zālite, Smiltene, won their respective races.
Latloppet Madona – Men’s Race
In the men’s race, the winner, Juris Ģērmanis, MySport, completed the race in a time of 1:59:59.1.
Jānis Melbārdis, Zelta Krogs, finished in second place, 57.2 seconds back, followed by Toms Veits, Smiltenes novads, completing the podium in the third position, 1:21.8 behind the winner.

Latloppet Madona – Women’s Race
In the women’s competition, the winner was Elita Zālite, Smiltene, with a total time of 2:28:34.8.
Liina Volmerson finished in second place, 28:37.9X back, followed by Lelde Dubere, SSK Bebra, 1:37:40.1 behind the winner, and completing the podium in the third position.

As the Latloppet Madona 32km classic is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
