Ferrari and Schmidhofer winners at the Gsiesertal Lauf Classic 2026

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Gsiesertal Lauf Classic, took place this Saturday with a 42km long-distance skiing race in classic technique at Gsiesertal, Italy. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, one of the Ski Classics Challengers events in Italy, the Gsiesertal Lauf Classic, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Pro Team athletes Francesco Ferrari and Anna Schmidhofer, both from Team Internorm Trentino GSG, won their respective races with solid performances.

Gsiesertal Lauf Classic – Men’s Race

In the men’s event, the winner, Francesco Ferrari, Team Internorm Trentino GSG, completed the race in a time of 1:43:47.2.

Christian Lorenzi, Team Internorm Trentino GSG, finished in second place, 10.8 seconds behind, followed by Johannes Kuchl, Löffler – Skadi Loppet Team, completing the podium in third position and 28.4 seconds back.

Gsiesertal Lauf Classic –Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner was Anna Schmidhofer, Team Internorm Trentino GSG, completing the event in a total time of 1:55:17.4.

Anna Giordan, Team Internorm Trentino GSG, finished in second place, 7:28.5 back, followed by Maria Eurosia Debertolis, Team Slavia Pojišťovna Robinson Trentino, 8:05:4 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.
