Les Belles Combes in France will celebrate its 40th anniversary on February 18 & 19, 2023. The weekend program is finally free of health constraints and will be spread out generously.

On Saturday, we will see the start of the freestyle races (12km & 30km) and an untimed event (12km).

On Sunday, all races will be held in classic technique, with the crown jewel race being the marathon. This is part of several challenges at regional, national, and international levels: SkiTour Montagne du Jura, Marathon Ski Tour, Ski Classics Challengers, and since this year, also the Global Ski Calendar from Worldloppet. Besides the marathon, 23 and 12km races are also offered, in classic technique, on Sunday.

To complete the program, Haut Jura Ski and its section of AS Les Moussières will gather their strengths to host the “Challenge Grospiron” on Les Belles Combes’ site. This means that on Sunday, February 19, a ‘mass start’ race, also in classic technique, will be offered to young skiers in the U9 to U16 categories. This will allow them to enjoy the atmosphere of a popular cross-country skiing race and the finish in a magnificent stadium!

In addition, this year, Les Belles Combes celebrates its 40th anniversary! Yes, in 1983, “Paris Givré” was born in La Pesse, which later became Les Belles Combes! A four-decade-long history that you can follow on the event’s Facebook page.

To animate the 40th anniversary, Gérard Benoit-à-la-Guillaume’s “BIDONS SANS FRONTIÈRES” will bring their geopoetic presence to the event, and it will probably surprise you!

Les Belles Combes also would like to highlight the volunteers. More than 300 positions are to be filled, and we count on all the members (and friends) of Haut Jura Ski to show the dedication and commitment of our volunteers to their greatest passion: Nordic skiing!

The entire “Les Belles Combes” organization team is waiting for you on February 18 & 19, whether as a skier, spectator, or volunteer! Until then, many prizes are up for grabs by lottery. For this, only one condition: to be registered before February 10!
