Dolci and Desloges win the 42km race at the French Long-Distance Championships

Flora Dolci and Mathis Desloges secured first place in the 42km mass start race at the French Long-Distance Championships. Results from the freestyle technique race.

The French cross-country skiing Championships started Saturday, March 30, in Les Saisies, with a 10km individual start race in classic technique. On Sunday, March 31, 2024, it was time for the French Long-distance Championships, with a 42km long-distance race in freestyle technique. Both events were organized for senior skiers, with shorter races for younger categories.

42km Freestyle – Women

Flora Dolci won the 42km mass start race in freestyle technique with a total time of 1:43:13.5. Melle Veyre finished in second place, 6:29.9 back.

Cloe Pagnier completed the podium in third place, 6:42.5 behind the winner. 

Liv Coupat and Julie Pierrel rounded out the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.

42km Freestyle – Men

Mathis Desloges took first place at the 42km mass start race in freestyle technique at the French Long-Distance Championships with a total time of 1:34:16.90. Clement Parisse finished in second place, 13.7 seconds back.

Remi Bourdin completed the podium in third place, 59.1 seconds behind the winner. 

Gerard Agnellet and Jules Chappaz rounded out the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.
