The Ski Classics Challengers event, Vasaloppet China, will be held in two months. The long-distance ski race in classic technique takes place on January 4, 2027, in Changchun, China, and celebrates its 25th edition.

With a history of over two decades, Vasaloppet China attracts participants from around the world. According to the organizers, the 2026 edition brought together more than 2,200 skiers from 33 countries and regions. The event is one of the country’s most popular long-distance ski events and is part of the Ski Classics Challengers series.

The main event is 50km in classic technique, but shorter distances of 25km and 1.5km are also offered, creating a festive atmosphere in the ski arena surrounded by an impressive snow sculpture park.

The Vasaloppet China Ski Arena is located in Jingyuetan National Forest Park, on the outskirts of Changchun, Jilin Province. The event is part of the city’s annual Snow and Ice Festival, which opens just days before the race.
