Vaajmarathon is a unique roller ski race that crosses the Norwegian-Swedish border. The 42-km event is part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit and a seeding race for Vasaloppet.

Now in its seventh edition, Vaajmarathon takes place in the beautiful area of Hotagen, only 100km from Östersund. The race starts in Mebygda, Norway, and the organizers invite both professional and recreational skiers to a roller ski event crossing the Norwegian-Swedish border to finish in Rötviken, Sweden. Shorter races of 15 and 25km are also available.

According to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Vaajmarathon is Sweden’s most beautiful roller ski race. It inspires an active lifestyle and shows the possibility of roller skiing in a unique environment, featuring a course close to the mountains and stunning scenery.
