Ring Frei – Ski Classics Challengers

The Ski Classics Challengers event Ring Frei is a long-distance roller ski race in freestyle technique taking place this Sunday, September 14, in Salzburg, Austria.

Where once stars like Michael Schumacher, Keke Rosberg, Jochen Rindt, Niki Lauda, Gerhard Berger, Helmut Marko, and many others took their first rounds in race cars and motorcycles, a Ski Classics Challengers event on roller skis with 42km for men and 30km for women, both in freestyle technique, takes place at the Salzburgring, a motorsport racetrack.

For those who think 30 or 42km is too much, shorter options such as roller ski races, inline skating, scooter, skateboard, kick bike, inline hockey, summer biathlon, and competitions for disabled athletes can be chosen. The organizers promise a fun-filled event program for participants and spectators in the narrow alpine valley near Salzburg.
