Celebrated Dolomitenlauf This Weekend

The Ski Classics Challengers event Dolomitenlauf is a 42km long-distance race in classic technique taking place this Sunday, January 22, with a welcoming start and finish in the biathlon center in Obertilliach, Austria.

The Ski Classics Challengers event Dolomitenlauf is a 42km long-distance race in classic technique taking place this Sunday, January 22, with a welcoming start and finish in the biathlon center in Obertilliach, Austria.

In 2023, the Dolomitenlauf will again take place in Obertilliach, and the biathlon center will offer an excellent infrastructure for this international event.

The event celebrates 53 years of tradition this year and is one of Austria’s most important cross-country skiing events. With exceptional snow conditions in the area and perfectly groomed tracks, the Organizing Committee is ready to welcome recreational and professional skiers alike.

“With snow from 45 centimeters to 1.20 meters, we have perfect conditions, and we are looking forward to the numerous starters from over 30 nations,” says Event Director Franz Theurl.

As the 42km Dolomitenlauf in classic technique is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender. 

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for season 2022/2023 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, professional and recreational skiers, can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when subscribing to Ski Classics online community proxcskiing.com. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, and analyze your results with friends in the SC ranking system. In your profile, you collect points according to your performance and are rewarded with pins and diplomas.

One of the central features of MyPages is that you get your global SC ranking. The SC Ranking is a live updated international ranking, unique in combining women and men, professional and recreational skiers in one single list.
