The weekend is fast approaching, and Bessemerloppet, a Ski Classics Challengers event, takes place this Sunday in Sweden.

On Sunday, February 12, it’s time for Bessemerloppet in Sweden. The 50km long-distance skiing race in classic technique is part of the Ski Classics Challengers circuit and has taken place in Högbo Bruk, Sandviken, since 1960.

Only two hours north of Stockholm, the race will take place three weeks before Vasaloppet and is the perfect preparation for the world’s largest long-distance ski event. 

In addition to the 50km race, a seeding race for Vasaloppet and Tjejvasan, the event offers its participants a 20km competition, also in classic technique.

As Bessemerloppet is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
