The 30-year-old from Norway has left Team Ragde Charge. In less than a week, the Aukland brothers lost their second star skier.

After four years on the Aukland brothers’ team, the Pro Team athlete from Oslo is leaving Team Ragde Charge. She confirms this to Langrenn.com.

“I’m saying goodbye to the team and continuing my long-distance career in a new one,” she said on Sunday evening.

Alnæs is the second women’s athlete to leave the prestigious Pro Team in just a few days: Just before the weekend it was announced that Swedish Pro Team star Jenny Larsson has signed with Lager 157 Ski Team, the team of, among others, this year’s Vasaloppet winner Torleif Syrstad and Marcialonga winner Runar Skaug Mathisen, as well as super junior Alvar Myhlback and Youth bib winner Karolina Hedenström.

With Alnæs’ exit, Team Ragde Charge has lost two of its three athletes on the women’s side. Only Solveig Lie Støverud remains from this year’s women’s team.

Super talent

The skier from Rustad IL came to Ski Classics four years ago, in 2020. At the time, she had just made her debut with two top-10 sprint finishes in the World Cup but was looking for something more. She has found it in long-distance skiing.

Already in her second season in Ski Classics, she finished second in the battle for the Green Sprint bib. The following year she won the Sprint bib and finished ninth overall in Ski Classics. This year she was again second in the Sprint competition, despite having much of the season ruined by illness.

Ragde has signed Stina Nilsson

A week and a half ago, Swedish ski star Stina Nilsson announced that she was finished at World Cup level. After a golden career in cross-country skiing with both Olympic gold and World Cup medals, Nilsson switched to biathlon ahead of the 2020/21 season, without achieving any great results.

The 30-year-old from Malung, Sweden, is now ready to take the step into cross-country skiing, as part of Team Ragde Charge.
