Martin Løvstrøm Nyenget is the next Norwegian national team skier to join the forces of Team Eksjöhus.

Morten Eide Pedersen brought his Lillehammer Ski Club friend into the Pro Team and with Martin, the Team gets another strong man on the starting line.

“I wanted to try long-distance skiing for several years and now I finally got the chance. I know it will be tough to keep up with the top skiers, but will give everything I have,” says Martin.

Løvstrøm Nyenget was 3rd at the 15km freestyle Lillehammer World Cup before Christmas and finished 12th overall in the Tour de Ski this season.

Martin is ready to start next Saturday at La Venosta Time Trial and then on several Pro Tour events during the season for Team Eksjöhus.

“With Martin, we get a fantastic skier into the team and who I think will deliver great results. But not only that, but also a real role model as a skier and person, with a very professional attitude. I think that Martin can help develop the team and it is a clear advantage to have several strong skiers in the men’s group,” says Team Manager Oskar Svärd.

Next up in the Visma Ski Classics is La Venosta Time Trial. The 10-kilometer classic race takes place in Italy, on January 15, 2022.
