Saturday, March 26, it’s time for Årefjällsloppet, the longest Pro Tour race so far in history. The now 104km Visma Ski Classics race is Season XII’s 12th stage and takes place in Vålådalen, Sweden.

Årefjällsloppet was part of the Visma Ski Classics Pro Tour from the third season to the seventh one. It came back to the circuit last winter, offering a challenge like no other as the course was the longest in the history of Ski Classics, 100km, and the weather conditions turned out to be highly demanding.

ÅREFJÄLLSLOPPET PRO TOUR EVENT LONGER THIS YEAR

Due to the weather forecast with expected strong winds and snowfall in the Vålådalen area, Årefjällsloppet LOC and the Visma Ski Classics organization decided to go for Plan B for the race on Saturday.

With three laps, the race will be 104km long with a total ascent of 2588m. The start and finish will be at Vålådalen.

The battle for the Sprint and Climb points will be fierce. There will be two sprints and two climbs’ checkpoints: Sprint 1 at 15km and Sprint 2 at 51km, both at Vålan; Climb 1 at 35km and Climb 2 at 71km, both at Ottfjället.

Don’t miss out on the event, available on Ski Classics Play. The women start at 7:30 CET and the men at 8:15 CET.
