Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja wins Event of Season XVI
Ski Classics Season XVI consisted of 14 Pro Tour events, and a poll was conducted to determine the most popular race. The award is based on votes from Pro Team Athletes, Directors, Staff, and SC crew. The title Event of the Season goes to the Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja, which received 28% of the votes.
Each Pro Tour event has its specialties and characteristics. Traditional and challenging races are appreciated by the athletes in the Pro Teams, as are the newer events, which were reflected in the poll after Season XVI.
Summit 2 Senja, the final Pro Tour event of Season XVI, was a 60km long-distance skiing race starting in Bardufoss and ending in Finnsnes, passing through fantastic Norwegian landscapes, from the mountains to the fjords.
The event delivered exciting competitions in both the women’s and men’s classes, where Ole Jørgen Bruvoll, Team Engcon, and Ebba Andersson showcased exceptional strength on the challenging course and season’s final Iconic Climb down to the finish line in Finnsnes. Ole Jørgen Bruvoll and Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, both from Team Engcon, are the overall winners of the Ski Classics Champion bib competition Season XVI.
