There are now fewer than 50 days until the start of the Biathlon World Cup, but the stars will already meet again next Saturday for the IBU’s new season kickoff, Loop One.

With the 2025/2026 Biathlon World Cup opening in Östersund on November 29, and the Winter Olympics in Italy on the horizon, the shooting rankings offer a fascinating look at the balance of power ahead of a new season.

Top 10 most accurate shooters – IBU World Cup 2024/2025

  1. Yuliia Dzhima, Ukraine – 93.4%
  2. Suvi Minkkinen, Finland – 92.5%
  3. Franziska Preuß, Germany – 92.1%
  4. Lou Jeanmonnot, France – 91.7%
  5. Khrystyna Dmytrenko, Ukraine – 91.6%
  6. Maya Cloetens, Belgium – 91.3%
  7. Jeanne Richard, France – 90.7%
  8. Tereza Voborníková, Czech Republic – 90.3%
  9. Lotte Lie, Belgium – 90.3%

Among the world’s most accurate shooters, Yuliia Dzhima continues to demonstrate remarkable consistency — a testament to Ukraine’s long-standing strength on the range. Suvi Minkkinen from Finland once again proved to be one of the most technically reliable biathletes, while Franziska Preuß maintained Germany’s traditional marksmanship quality.

IBU Cup

In the IBU Cup, Germany showcased outstanding consistency with three athletes topping the accuracy list, followed closely by a strong French contingent.

The 2025/2026 IBU Cup season starts in Obertilliach, Austria, in early December 2025 and concludes in Lake Placid, USA, in March 2026.
