The IBU Youth and Junior Biathlon World Championships 2025 started this Wednesday in Östersund, Sweden, with a 10km/12.5km individual race for youth women and youth men. Check out the results.

Ilona Plechacova, from the Czech Republic, and Antonin Guy, from France, took first place in the youth 10km/12.5km individual races at the IBU Youth Junior Biathlon World Championships in Östersund, Sweden. Complete results from the youth event.

YOUTH WOMEN – 10KM INDIVIDUAL

Ilona Plechacova, from the Czech Republic, showed her form and won today’s 10km individual race with a total time of 34:16.5 and three missed shots (1-1-1-0).

Carlotta Gautero, from Italy, snagged second place, 47.5 seconds back, and two missed shots (0-0-0-2). Manca Caserman, from Slovenia, completed the podium in third place, 54.9 seconds behind the winner and three missed shots (0-1-1-1).

  2. Carlotta Gautero (ITA), (0-0-0-2), +47.5

YOUTH MEN – 12.5KM INDIVIDUAL

Antonin Guy, from France, showed his form and won today’s 12.5km individual race with a total time of 33:51.9 and one missed shot (0-0-0-1).

Grzegorz Galica, from Poland, snagged second place, 4.5 seconds back, and two missed shots (0-1-0-1). Leo Carlier, from France, completed the podium in third place, 9.4 seconds behind the winner and two missed shots (2-0-0-0).

  1. Antonin Guy (FRA), (0-0-0-1), 33:51.9
  2. Grzegorz Galica (POL), (0-1-0-1), +4.5
