The IBU Cup season 2024/2025 continued today in Geilo, Norway, with a 7.5km sprint race for women. After a fast day on the tracks and shooting range, Paula Botet, from France, won the event with a solid performance.

Paula Botet, from France, took first place in the women’s 7.5km sprint race in Geilo, Norway, with a total time of 22:14.9 and clean shooting (0-0).

Marlene Fichtner, from Germany, snagged second place, 31.4 seconds back, and one also clean shooting (0-0). Johanna Skottheim, from Sweden, completed the podium in third place, 36.9 seconds behind the winner and one penalty (0-1).

After Geilo, the biathlon IBU Cup heads to Austria (Obertilliach), Germany (Arber), Brezno-Osrblie (Slovakia), Italy (Open European Championships in Martell-Val Martello and IBU Cup in Ridnaun-Val Ridanna). Then, the 2024/2025 IBU Cup season ends with two stages in Estonia (Otepää).
