IBU Cup: Frey wins 12.5km pursuit in Idre Fjäll

The IBU Cup season 2024/2025 continued today in Idre Fjäll, Sweden, with a 12.5km biathlon pursuit race for men. After a solid performance, Isak Frey (NOR) won the race.

The IBU Cup season 2024/2025 continued today in Idre Fjäll, Sweden, with a 12.5km biathlon pursuit race for men. After a solid performance, Isak Frey (NOR) won the race.

Isak Frey, from Norway, took first place today in the 12.5km men’s biathlon pursuit race in Idre Fjäll, Sweden, with a total time of 33:48.4 and two missed shots (0-1-0-1).

Johan-Olav Botn, also from Norway, snagged second place, 30.6 seconds back, and five penalties (1-1-1-2). Martin Uldal completed the Norwegian podium in third place, 54.0 seconds behind the winner and three penalties (0-0-2-1).

After Idre Fjäll, the biathlon IBU Cup heads to Norway (Geilo), then Austria (Obertilliach), Germany (Arber), Brezno-Osrblie (Slovakia), Italy (Open European Championships in Martell-Val Martello and IBU Cup in Ridnaun-Val Ridanna). Then, the 2024/2025 IBU Cup season ends with two stages in Estonia (Otepää).
