Gabriela Soukalová announces pregnancy in video
The former Czech biathlon star shared a video on social media announcing that she is expecting a child.
The 36-year-old Soukalová is among the most successful Czech biathletes. She won three Olympic medals, became world champion in both the sprint and the mixed relay, and won the overall World Cup title in the 2015/2016 season, claiming the big crystal globe. She ended her active career in 2019.
Two years later, she gave birth to her daughter, Izabela. This year, Izabela will get a sibling.
“It looks like we may slowly be forming a future biathlon relay team,” Soukalová wrote on Instagram.
Together with Miloš Kadeřábek, she recorded a humorous video and added the caption: “Have a wonderful day, everyone. It looks like we may slowly be forming a future biathlon relay team or perhaps adding another member to it.”
