Biathlon World Cup: Norway wins mixed relay in Kontiolahti

The biathlon World Cup season 2024/2025 continued today in Kontiolahti, Finland, with the mixed relay. After a good fight and a tight finish, Norway won the season’s second event.

The biathlon World Cup season 2024/2025 continued today in Kontiolahti, Finland, with the mixed relay. After a good fight and a tight finish, Norway won the season’s second event.

Norway (Karoline Offigstad, Knotten, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold, Johannes Dale-Skjevdal, Vebjoern Soerum) took first place today in the mixed relay race in Kontiolahti with a total time of 1:09:59.6 and 10 missed shots.

France (Lou Jeanmonnot, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Eric Perrot, Emilien Jacquelin) snagged second place, 0.8 seconds back and 4 missed shots. Sweden (Anna Magnusson, Elvira Öberg, Jesper Nelin, Martin Ponsiluoma) completed the podium in third place, 21.5 seconds behind the winner and 7 misses.

After Kontiolahti (Finland), the biathlon World Cup heads to Hochfilzen (Austria), then Annecy – Le Grand Bornand (France), Oberhof (Germany), Ruhpoldhing (Germany), Antholz-Anterselva (Italy), Lenzerheide (Switzerland) for the World Championships, Nove Mesto Na Morave (Czech Republic), and Pokljuka (Slovenia). Then, the 2024/2025 World Cup season ends in Oslo (Norway).
