The biathlon World Cup season 2024/2025 continued today in Kontiolahti, Finland, with the 12.5km short individual race. After a solid performance in the women’s event, Lou Jeanmonnot (FRA) won the race.

Lou Jeanmonnot, from France, took first place today at the women’s 12.5km short individual race in Kontiolahti with a total time of 35:52:3 and clean shooting (0-0-0-0).

Ella Halvarsson, from Sweden, snagged second place, 12.3 seconds back, and one missed shot (0-1-0-0). Elvira Öberg, from Sweden, completed podium in third place, 56.4 seconds behind the winner and three missed shots (0-1-1-1).

After Kontiolahti (Finland), the biathlon World Cup heads to Hochfilzen (Austria), then Annecy – Le Grand Bornand (France), Oberhof (Germany), Ruhpoldhing (Germany), Antholz-Anterselva (Italy), Lenzerheide (Switzerland) for the World Championships, Nove Mesto Na Morave (Czech Republic), and Pokljuka (Slovenia). Then, the 2024/2025 World Cup season ends in Oslo (Norway).
