Andersson and Kalkenberg junior mass start winners at the IBU Youth Junior World Championships
The IBU Youth and Junior Biathlon World Championships 2025 continued this Monday in Östersund, Sweden, with the 9km/12km mass start 60 for junior women and junior men. Check out the results.
Sara Andersson, from Sweden, and Kasper Kalkenberg, from Norway, took first place in the junior 9km/12km mass start 60 races at the IBU Youth Junior Biathlon World Championships in Östersund, Sweden. Complete results from the junior events.
JUNIOR WOMEN – 9KM MASS START 60
Sara Andersson, from Sweden, showed her form and won the 9km mass start race with a total time of 28:33.0 and four missed shots (2-0-2-0).
Anaelle Bondoux, from France, snagged second place, 12.5 seconds back, and two missed shots (2-0-0-0). Oleksandra Merkushyna, from Ukraine, completed the podium in third place, 17.2 seconds behind the winner and three missed shots (2-0-0-1).

JUNIOR MEN – 12KM MASS START 60
Kasper Kalkenberg, from Norway, showed his form and won today’s 12km mass start race with a total time of 35:20.9 and five missed shots (1-2-0-2).
Jimi Klemettinen, from Finland, snagged second place, 6.5 seconds back, and three missed shots (0-1-1-1). Petr Hak, from the Czech Republic, completed the podium in third place, 32.9 seconds behind the winner and five missed shots (1-0-2-2).
