ProXCskiing met Lina and Gustaf Korsgren during a training camp in Båstad, southern Sweden. We have talked about Team Ramudden’s preparations and work as Pro Team Directors of the best Ski Classics Pro Team for the last two seasons.
Alfred Buskqvist will start his first full season as a long-distance athlete, with Team Ramudden. Last winter he already raced Vasaloppet, Birkebeinerrennet and Reistadløpet, where he was top 30th each time. The sprinter from Gothenburg will fight, among other things, for the Green bib.
Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, took a step forward during Ski Classics Season XII with 5 top 10. Paus was 9th in Marcialonga, 6th in Vasaloppet, and was closer than ever to the podium in Ylläs-Levi, with a 4th place. This summer, he took a solid 2nd place at Lysebotn Opp, just behind Johan Hoel.
ProXCskiing met Mattias Reck in Båstad, Sweden, for a training session with Team Engcon. Reck is well-known in the cycling world since he has been a trainer for professional cycling teams for ten years. For the past six years, he has been a coach for Trek – Segafredo, including riders like Bauke Mollema, Giulio Ciccone, Elisa Longo Borghini, Ellen van Dijk, Lizzie Deignan, and Mads Pedersen.
Johannes Eklöf took his first win in the Pro Tour last season at Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge. He also wore the lumberjack bib for a couple of races and finished 2nd in the Climb competition, only 59 points behind Tord Asle Gjerdalen.
The French Rollerski Championships took place this weekend in Arçon, Doubs department. On the program, it was a classic sprint on Saturday and a skating individual start on Sunday.
Ida Palmberg, Team Ramudden, will be a strong contender for the Youth bib in the coming winter. Indeed, she was already wearing it in a couple of races last winter, and her personal best was 10th at Pustertaler Ski Marathon.
At Trollhättan Action Week, ProXCskiing shared a training session with Team Kaffebryggeriet. On the opportunity, we talked with the athletes to learn about their winter goals, personal lives, and free time.
Amund Riege is one of the new athletes for Team Ramudden. Riege was already competing last year in Ski Classics with Team Oslo Rustad IL, and his personal best was 13th place at Jizerská50.
