From the start in Tvrdošín, the race heads west, passing north of Žilina. The route crosses into Czechia between the fourth and fifth climbs before returning towards Slovakia. After the final ascent of Kohútka, the riders face approximately 20 kilometers of predominantly downhill terrain to the finish in Dohňany.
The second half of the stage is the most demanding, featuring three climbs within a 45-kilometer stretch. However, teams may already attempt to establish a breakaway on the opening climb. With 195.1 kilometers to cover, the length of the stage could also play a significant role in the outcome.
The combination of distance, climbing and a fast finish could make this a fascinating stage to follow.
