The 31-year-old from Norway has signed with Team Burger King Northug and debuted in his new kit at Lysebotn Opp.

Last year, the Pro Team talent from Norway was on the verge of retirement after being dropped from his team. However, he changed his mind and delivered the best season of his career.

In less than a year, Magnus Vesterheim went from being an underdog to defeating Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and several Olympic stars at the end of the season, achieving both podium finishes and significant victories for the first time in his career.

Despite this success, Vesterheim found himself without a team for the upcoming season after his squad, Team Ramudden, was disbanded in April. It wasn’t until August that the 31-year-old secured a new contract.

Joining Team Burger King Northug

This week, Vesterheim signed with Petter Northug’s Pro Team, where he will be one of seven men. He debuted in the Team Burger King Northug kit at Lysebotn Opp on August 5.

“This is going to be fun. I’m kicking off my debut in the kit today at the Blink Festival,” Vesterheim shared on social media.
