Surprise winner takes the plunge into full-time Ski Classics
Last season, the 22-year-old made his Ski Classics debut and achieved a sensational victory. Now, Malte Jutterdal is set for a long-distance racing commitment with a Swedish Pro Team.
Malte Jutterdal emerged almost from nowhere, shocking his competitors when he won a Ski Classics Pro event in Orsa Grönklitt last season. Now, it is confirmed that the talented skier is making the transition to the long-distance racing circuit.

Joining a Swedish Pro Team
Jutterdal was unable to achieve his goal of qualifying for the U23 World Championships last season. This opened up the opportunity for him to pursue a long-distance racing initiative mid-season. He started by winning the Bessemerloppet, followed by a top-50 finish at Vasaloppet.
The weekend after Vasaloppet featured an individual 50km race in Ski Classics. There, Malte surprised everyone by claiming his first victory in Ski Classics, aided by Ski Team Göhlins.
It is now confirmed that Jutterdal will sign with the Småland-based Pro Team, Ski Team Göhlins.
On social media, Ski Team Göhlins stated:
“We welcome @malte.jutterdal to the team, where he will now fully commit to long-distance skiing. Malte, with roots in Östergötland, was a guest with us last season and clearly demonstrated his potential.”
