Ski Classics Legend Ida Dahl ends career
After a season without any competitions, Ida Dahl made a comeback earlier this winter. It is now confirmed that she is ending her career.
For several seasons, Ida Dahl was one of the top skiers in Ski Classics. She has 11 individual Pro Tour victories and won the Yellow Champion bib in Season XIV (2022/2023). Last season, she did not compete, but this winter she returned to racing, including participating in Engadin La Diagonela and the Ski Classics Challengers event Tjejvasan.

It is now clear that the 30-year-old is retiring. On social media, Ida writes:
“When this season comes to an end, I will also close the chapter as an elite athlete. It has been fantastic, terrible, and everything in between!”
Part of the circuit since 2019
Ida Dahl has competed in Ski Classics since Season IX (2018/2019).
“I am incredibly grateful for everything skiing has given me. All the amazing experiences and fun adventures, but above all, the wise, driven, and fun people I’ve met along the way. There are so many who have contributed to making my career what it became, and I am forever grateful to all of you!”
“Cross-country skiing has been my life for as long as I can remember, so of course, it feels emotional and tough to close this door, but there is a time for everything. As I now finish this chapter, I do so with pride, gratitude, and memories for life. Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey in one way or another.”
