This Italian Pro Team has been part of the Ski Classics circuit since 2017, helping to grow long-distance skiing among young athletes and fans of all ages across Italy. After securing a solid 8th place in the Pro Team ranking during Season XVI, the squad now enters a new era under the name Team Slavia Pojišťovna Robinson Trentino, joining forces with Team Slavia Pojišťovna and marking a partnership between Italy’s Robinson Trentino and the Czech insurance company Slavia Pojišťovna.

With an expanded international profile and a clear goal of being the best Central European team in Ski Classics, the Pro Team presents an exciting mix of Ski Classics Legends, experienced names, and promising young talents ready to shine in Season XVII.

Led by Pro Team Director Bruno Debertolis, the squad continues to build on its established foundation, bringing together athletes from six nations – Italy, the Czech Republic, Norway, France, Sweden, and Germany – under one flag.

“Born in 2017, our team has contributed to making the world of Ski Classics popular among many young people and enthusiasts of all ages in Italy,” says the Pro Team Director in a statement.

“Our main goal is to continue on this path, expanding every year and giving new generations the chance to make their dreams come true,” adds Debertolis.

“Many champions – Italian and foreign, Olympic and World medalists – have joined us along this journey, and next season will bring new talents ready to enjoy the sun, the mountains, the Italian people, and our incredible Trentino.”

“For the 2025/2026 season, we have broadened our horizons by collaborating with Slavia Pojišťovna, strengthening our Czech connection. The team remains Italian, supported by Robinson Pet Shop, Trentino Marketing, and many other amazing partners. Italian, Czech, Norwegian, Swedish, French, and German will all be represented under one name: Team Slavia Pojišťovna Robinson Trentino.”

A truly international roster

For Ski Classics Season XVII, the Pro Team brings together twelve Pro Team athletes – five women and seven men, including two in the Cubs category.

The lineup reflects a well-balanced blend of experience and youth: Oda Nerdrum (1995), Michaela Patscheider (1999), Tereza Hujerová (1998), Hanna Fine (2000), Caterina Cozzolino (2006), Gustav Eriksson (1991), Simon Vuillet (2000), Fabián Štoček (1994), Tord Asle Gjerdalen (1983), Stanislav Řezáč (1973), Jakob Walther (1999), and Cristian Bertagnolli (2007).

This group brings depth and versatility, with potential to challenge for top results in both men’s and women’s competitions.

Gjerdalen & Řezáč lead star-studded lineup

At the heart of the team are two Ski Classics Legends: Tord Asle Gjerdalen, from Norway, and Stanislav Řezáč, from the Czech Republic. Their combined experience and leadership will be essential as the team targets top results across the winter.

Supporting them are seasoned names like Gustav Eriksson, from Sweden, a consistent performer and multiple top 30 finishes at Vasaloppet, and Fabián Štoček, from the Czech Republic, known for his endurance and reliability. Young talents such as Simon Vuillet from France, Jakob Walther from Germany, and Cristian Bertagnolli from Italy bring fresh energy and long-term promise to the team’s lineup.

Women’s lineup and focus on youth development

Team Slavia Pojišťovna Robinson Trentino remains deeply committed to nurturing future stars. Several athletes will compete not only for overall results but also in the Youth and Cubs rankings, reflecting the team’s strong focus on development.

Among the returning women, Michaela Patscheider from Italy, Oda Nerdrum from Norway, and Tereza Hujerová from the Czech Republic bring valuable experience and aim to break into the top 10 next season. French newcomer Hanna Fine and young Italian Caterina Cozzolino strengthen the women’s side, reinforcing the team’s international character.

Speaking at the team’s launch earlier in October, Bruno Debertolis underlined the team’s ambition:

“We aim to be the best non-Scandinavian team in the final standings of the prestigious Ski Classics circuit.”
