The Ski Classics Challengers event, Alliansloppet, took place last Saturday, August 30, with a 48km long-distance roller ski race in classic technique in Trollhättan, Sweden. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event, Alliansloppet, saw Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, win their respective races.

Alliansloppet – Men’s Race

In the men’s competition, the action dominated the day. On the final lap, Truls Gisselman and Johannes Eklöf held a gap of around 30 seconds over the large chase group and fought hard to maintain their advantage.

The breakaway was eventually reeled in, and in the final meters, Alvar Myhlback, Lager 157 Ski Team, powered to victory, crossing the line in 1:44:57.0. 

Thomas Joly, Team Ramudden, secured second place, just 1.1 seconds behind, while Amund Hoel, Team Engcon, crossed the line 1.6 seconds behind to complete the podium.

Alliansloppet – Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, a small leading group of favorites formed as the race progressed, and by the final lap, only seven contenders remained in the fight for victory.

In the end, Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, was the fastest and won the race with a time of 2:04:22.1.

Hanna Lodin, Team Engcon, secured second place, just 0.2 seconds back, with Jenny Larsson, Lager 157 Ski Team, only 0.3 seconds behind and completing the podium.

As the Alliansloppet 48km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes can collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders. 

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for the season 2025/2026 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, and professional and recreational skiers can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics called MyPages.
