For several years, the Lager 157 Ski Team has run a youth development program. For the upcoming season, the team is introducing several new names.

Over the past four seasons, the Lager 157 Ski Team has maintained a youth team to introduce more young skiers to the world of long-distance skiing. Last season, the team adopted the name Exsitec Ski Team, which included athletes such as Anja Stolpe and Bruno Dettmann.

The team has now announced this year’s lineup.

Solid results

Three athletes remain on the team from last year: Anja Stolpe, Bruno Dettmann, and Maja Majbäck. Stolpe and Dettmann have been part of the team for several years and have achieved several solid results.

Last season, Anja Stolpe finished 11th at Vasaloppet and 9th the weekend before at Tjejvasan. Bruno Dettmann’s best result was 29th place at Reistadløpet previous spring.

Getting younger

The team is now being expanded with three younger skiers: Valter Gerle Blomberg, Vera Myhlback, and Lisa Alrik. It marks a significant rejuvenation of an already young team. Blomberg and Alrik were born in 2008, and Myhlback in 2009.

“Our commitment to the future continues, this year’s youth group is a mix of new and old. We welcome @lisaalrik @vmyhlback and @vatte08 to us, along with the team are @_bruno_dettmann_ , @anjastolpe and @majamajback who have been with us since before,” writes Lager 157 Ski Team on social media.
