Team Sweden II, with Linn Svahn and Maja Dahlqvist, won the team sprint today at the Livigno World Cup in Italy with a total time of 13:06.10. Team Sweden I, with Emma Ribom and Jonna Sundling, finished in second place, 0.73 seconds behind the winners.

Team United States of America I, with Rosie Brennan and Julia Kern, finished in third place, 1.05 seconds back. 

Germany I (Sofie Krehl and Laura Gimmler), and Team Czechia (Petra Novakova and Katerina Janatova), round off the top 5 by finishing 4th and 5th, respectively.

New this season is the exact race distances for women and men in all World Cup events, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) decided in May. Several other changes have also been introduced to the World Cup.

After the weekend, the World Cup continues at Les Rousses, France, from  Tour de Ski from January 27 to 29, 2023.
