The cross-country skiing World Cup heads to Beitostølen in Norway this weekend. Finland’s Team is now presented.

Beitostølen, Norway, is the place of this year’s third stop for the cross-country skiing World Cup. The event begins on Friday, December 9, with a sprint race in classic technique. On Saturday, December 10, a 10km individual start in classic technique awaits. And on Sunday, December 11, the World Cup weekend ends with a mixed 4x5km relay.

The Finnish Ski Association has named their cross-country ski team for the upcoming World Cup in Beitostølen. Finland will start with 18 athletes. On the women’s side, Finland will begin with eight skiers. Already on the men’s side, ten athletes will start for the country.

New this season is the same race distances for women and men in all World Cup events, as the International Ski & Snowboard Federation (FIS) decided in May. Several other changes have also been introduced to the World Cup.

The World Cup continues next weekend in Beitostølen, Norway. On the program, there is a sprint in classic technique on Friday, a 10km individual race in classic technique on Saturday, and a mixed relay on Sunday.
