The event starts on Friday, February 14, with a sprint in classic technique, followed by a 10km interval start race in classic technique on Saturday, February 15, and a 20km mass start race in freestyle technique on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

In a press release, the Swedish Ski Association has named their cross-country ski team for the upcoming World Cup in Falun.
“The Swedish Ski Games are always a highlight of the World Cup calendar, and it is extra fun to compete on home soil now before the World Championships. We hope for a great atmosphere and a lot of spectators,” says Swedish national team manager Anders Byström and adds:
“It will be very exciting to see Maja Dahlqvist chasing new successes after her World Cup victory in Cogne. It is also great that Ebba Andersson, Linn Svahn and Moa Ilar are back on the World Cup after a break with World Championships preparations,” says Anders Byström.
“We also have our U23 World Championship gold medalists Märta Rosenberg and Anton Grahn in the national team squad, which feels extra fun. Elin Henriksson, who took the U23 World Championship bronze, is also competing in the national team colors in the sprint, but silver medalist Måns Skoglund has unfortunately fallen ill and will miss this weekend’s competitions, he continues.
As the host nation, Sweden is allowed to field a national team in each competition. This means that six women and six men will have the opportunity to compete in the national quota, provided that two of these are U23 skiers.
“The national quota gives us the opportunity to give many people the chance to compete at the highest level. It is great to see many new names in the World Cup, with debuts for Saga Nilsson, Jesper Persson, and Erik Johansson, among others,” concludes Anders Byström.
