48th Granfondo Dobbiaco/Toblach-Cortina – A dream on skinny skis

Granfondo Toblach
The Granfondo Dobbiaco-Cortina is one of the most iconic and beloved long-distance cross-country skiing events, featuring two unforgettable races that wind through the enchanting landscapes of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, between Alta Pusteria and the Cortina d’Ampezzo Valley.

In 2025, this celebrated Granfondo kicks off February with two races scheduled for the first weekend of the month. Following the format of recent editions, the event offers two opportunities to hit the tracks: a 42km classic technique race on Saturday, February 1, and a 35km free technique/skating race on Sunday, February 2. Both races are part of the Ski Classics Challengers series and are on the FIS calendar, allowing recreational skiers and professional athletes to compete side by side in a 100% cross-country skiing weekend.

More information about the 48th Granfondo Dobbiaco/Toblach-Cortina can be found HERE

Both races start from the military airport in Dobbiaco, from where participants “take off” towards the finish line in Fiames, Cortina d’Ampezzo. The colourful stream of skiers from all over the world glides through postcard-perfect scenery that embodies the Dobbiaco-Cortina experience: the Nordic Arena, Lake Dobbiaco, Val di Landro, Lake Landro, the iconic Three Peaks Panoramic Viewpoint, Val Fonda, Carbonin, Cimabanche Pass (the race’s high point at 1,529 m), Ospitale with its medieval chapel, the bridges and tunnels of the old railway line, and finally Fiames at the foot of the Pomagagnon, a hallmark of the Ampezzo Dolomites. At Fiames, skiers will find a welcoming tent serving hot meals and hosting the official awards ceremony.

This year’s edition continues to feature the popular Combinata format, offering participants a special gadget in addition to the already generous race kit. Also returning is the special 30FORU23 fee, designed to encourage young skiers born between 2002 and 2008 to join the event. With no restrictions or deadlines, this discounted registration fee is a true invitation for the younger generation to discover—and hopefully fall in love with—long-distance skiing.

The Organizing Committee is ready to write another chapter in the history of one of the Alpine region’s longest-standing cross-country skiing events, working tirelessly to deliver an extraordinary 48th edition.

The registration fee includes:

  • Shuttle Service before and after the race (Cortina-Dobbiaco),
  • waxing-service with Vauhti-products
  • technical support & medical care,
  • professional time-keeping,
  • starter-package with a nice gadget,

  • transportation of clothing bags,
  • refreshments along the track and in the finish area,
